Am moving back to Winnipeg from Vancouver. Require short-term self storage for furniture/personal belongings ... can anyone recommend a company that provides this type of service?

Mini Storage (204) 942-2151 AAA Sentinel (204) 269-8800 UHaul Self Storage (204) 987-9518 Fort Knox Storage off Springfield Road is a good deal and a new building. Convenience is the key, so some of the other suggestions might be better if you are moving downtown. Thanks everyone, for such good tips with regard to self-storage. I think I'll be going with the Sentinel outfit located way out Pembina Hwy. (for I will be living in the South end of the city). And I've enjoyed your discussions with regard to Wave Cable service. As it turns out I will be living in a house in the Videon test area so I think I will try that out! Here in Vancouver (actually I live in Langley) we are serviced by Rogers and there is no hint of internet connection via cable at this time. (another perk to moving back home, lol) And since you guys were talking about a recent influx of WestCoasters returning to Winnipeg, I'll tell you why we (hubby and I) are making this move. We left Wpg back in '91 after Bob was laid off from his job with Canada Packers (25 years of employment gone in the blink of an eye). Hated to leave family behind but he couldn't find work there. So although we've enjoyed our stay out West and Bob did manage to find (and keep) a steady job we just miss "home" too much. Perhaps we two (late 40's somethings) are representative of a larger group who have decided to turn their focus back to family.
