I have a 10'x30' storage unit. I obtained it 2 years ago when I moved from a 6 Bdrm house with a 2 car garage and full basement, into a 2 Bdrm house with no garage or basement. At first the unit was completely full, but after selling some things and giving some things away, and my kids have gotten their own places and taken a lot of the stuff to their homes, it's now about only 1/2 full. In the winters I'd store my pick-up inside the the unit, but this summer I purchased a small camping trailer, and will store it there instead of the pick-up. It only costs $55.00 a month, so I'll probably keep it until I can downsize into a smaller unit. I'm curious to see why others have storage units. Obviously, crossposting is subject to abuse, but it can also serve a legitimate purpose. Seems counterproductive to break the thread link, unless it's clearly not applicable to the other group...
