searching for canada Moving Truck Rental
Question:
Any suggestions on moving truck rental companies in the US that provide one-way rentals to Canada? I know UHAUL does but I would like to shop around and so far have been unsuccessful with Penske, Budget, and Ryder.

_Both UHAUL and Ryder *DO*. Not sure about others. It is not as
simple as just renting a truck and brining it into Canada. There are
some special requirements of the truck that have to be in place, such as
certain taxes having to have been paid by the rental company and such.
When going from Canada to the US the rental vehicle must be a *US*
licenced vehicle; not sure exactly what is required going the other
way.
It MAY be necessary for the rental vehicle to be returned in the US;
which would mean you bring it into Canada, dispose of your belongings,
then return itto the US; hopefully you live near the US border if you have
to do this.
Consider contacting Ryder's main HQ and talking with THEM. Sometimes
the local outlets have no clue about international moves..
_Actually Ryder said they do but I have to return the truck from
Vancouver to Seattle, which is not that bat. But with UHAUL I
can drop the truck in Vancouver.
