Moving And Storage
Question:
Well, it's that time of year... moving season. I'm finally leaving Chicago and moving to Madison, WI. Taken me quite while to find a nice place, but I think I finally struck gold. Problem is, last time I moved, I had a horrible experience with the nutjobs that did it. About 30% of my crystalware was chipped or just plain broken, my computer monitor was demolished, and I have still never found certain items of my wife's jewelry that were "lost". Ironically, I just saw these guys, New World Van Lines, mentioned in a previous post about movers shipping drugs in their trucks. Based on the strung-out, barely audible weirdos that did the job for me, it doesn't surprise me in the least. Can anyone recommend a good moving company? Preferably one that owns its own trucks, not the "owner-operator" type.
Answer:
_I used Burrows for a local move I did in Chicago and then Johnson Moving and
Storage when I moved from Chicago To Wyoming. They were both excellent.
_The fact that you will be moving across state lines makes things more
complicated. Some movers are not licensed to move across state lines, so this
should be one of the first questions you ask.
