As for gambesons, I suggest
using walmarts $5.88 blue bedrolls( in the camping section, 6' long by
20+" wide- 1/2" foam) Buckets can easily be acquired at a local farm
store. I've made three suits of this stuff, on average- its about 5-6
hours a suit, which in my opinion, isn't that bad.what do you guys think?

Another source for material for a gambeson is the quilts used in household moving. They are made of cotton quilting and are not expencive. Most of them are about 6 ft X 7 ft and blue in color. Look for Moving Supply Companies, U-Haul, or other rental outfits and the last source, Household movers themselfs. Offer to help fold the blankets for them in return for a few for your own personal use. Maybe the trucker will give you a few. I know from experiance (I used to work for Global Van Lines) the drivers hate to fold 120 blankets after a move.
