Big moving boxes in Chicago.
Question:
Any of you know where I can get some bigger (36"x24" ish) moving boxes or legal boxes without getting gang-raped? I can't believe how frigging expensive they are in the moving co. shops and truck rental places. I need a large box too. To ship an expensive chair in. The box needs to be about 26" by 30" by 36". Large box. Much larger than anything on the UPS site. I figure a box that a washer or dryer came in would be good. Anybody gettin' a new washer or dryer anytime soon?

You go to the dock with cash only, tell them what size they'll show you
pallets full of them. I once got 60 15x15x20 boxes there for about 30
bucks.
should of asked here first or googled this website cause I've only
mentioned the place about 467 times in the last three years .
Never occured to me to check here. I googled the websites but mostly random
info. SHould've narrowed the searh parms to boxes + Chicago.
You could also look at Uline (www.uline.com). They have a location in
Waukegan. If you're in that area, you can do a will call, but they will
also ship. Depending on the depth you want, a 36x24 box runs $3-4. I don't
know how that compares to anywhere else you've looked. When I bought some
5x5x5 boxes, they were a lot less than the office supply store.
