moving to USA-is Houston a best choice

Question:

Say me and my girlfriend would choose USA as our new country, where would/should I live? Important factors: "Easy" (in a more normal position in the economic cycle) to find empoyment for me and she, we both are MSc EE, interests are Control/Vehicular Systems. Several companies should be present so changing job will not mean moving out of town.

_You and your girl would both get very good jobs in a short time in Houston. Someone mentioned air conditioned golf carts needed. Well, hardly anybody walks for sure. I drive a souped up golf cart so as to get a breeze, np. You can't beat the winters either. You might want to look up the Houston Post on the internet to get an idea about housing costs, employment, whatever
_As a followup, along with Houston you might consider Fort Worth. Lockheed is presently ramping up and needing lots of engineers. You can check www.dice.com for information. And, here's an option. My house is just 43 miles from Lockheed and I would like to sell it. It's on the fifth tee box of an outstanding country club. We also have another 18 hole course you can play on. We get to own our own carts for a very nominal fee. I just drive out of my garage and tee it up when I get home because the course is not that busy. $125k includes house, cart and country club membership. We live in a gated community, two entrances with guards on each entrance all the time. No crime out here, plus peace and quiet. Deer, turkey, quail are all over the place. There is also a concrete air strip, many of those people along the strip own their own planes. Also, skeet range, deep water marina, riding stable, two driving ranges, campgrounds, recreational parks along the river...
