A new Tackle Box?

Question:

I was wondering anyone here have idea on a Good Tackle Box? i Have been looking All over and Was amazed at all the Different kinds there are!!

Answer:

_ I have been using bags for my tackle for over 15 years now. This is well before I've ever seen "tackle bags" sold commercially. It first started because I was finding my fly vest cumbersome, warm and heavy. I employed a shoulder bag so I could easily lay my gear on the bank. I also don't get confused with 32 vest pockets. It's worked well enough so that I haven't gone back to a vest. I use a smaller version for shore fishing w/spinning tackle, and I have a "soft briefcase" as my boat bag stuffed with Plano boxes and zippered pouches. These are available from LL Bean's, or any reputable bag manufacturer. I use smallish tackle so these suit me just fine. You may want a larger bag if you carry a bunch of stuff with you. I working towards having an appropriate bag for all the types of fishing I do with duplicate items (when necessary) so all I ever have to do is pick up a bag, my rods, and I'm ready to go. I'm about 25% there. I will surprise myself if I ever get
75% complete.
_I'm very impressed with the Tackle Logic soft side system, but the price gets mighty high if you convert all your tackle to that system. However, my local retailer claims that Tackle Logic (made by AMSport) was bought out 2-3 months ago by Plano and that Plano will be adding it to their lines at Walmart, so maybe the prices will go down. Has anyone heard if this buy out story is true?
_I just picked up a new box (at Dick's) which from memory is a Plano. It features a small tray at the top for the stuff you're using right now, and their regular covered trays. I believe the one I got holds six trays, but it's home and I'm working off site. I bought the largest one and shopping bag of extra trays, so I can have a tray for each type of lure I use, and some extras I can fill with a mix if six types isn't going to do it This makes more sense than the huge boxes I've been using, and you can get a small box to take the same trays if you are going somewhere with a size problem, like via small plane, in a canoe, hiking in 12 miles to a like while carrying a canoe, etc. I really like these boxes, because I'm no longer moving stuff from one box to another one lure at a time, and I can just take one small tray if I'm climbing down a cliff to a lake or somethin'
