what with the Moving Box Exchange
Question:
I am promoting a nationwide community effort of sorts and I need your help. Go to http://www.movingboxexchange.com and list or find moving boxes by zip code. It's very easy to list boxes there or search for them and it never costs a thing. Your email address is never published on the web. Obviously this type of endeavor needs many people to particpate if it is to be successful. For now I know there are boxes in 90803. Please add some boxes for your zip code. Any opinions?
Answer:
_You can go any big retail store and they'll give you all the free boxes you
want if you ask nicely.
Also USPS will deliver small boxes for free right to your door. Perfect size
for moving books, and
other small items.
_Much of the packaging is now done with a cardboard "tray" (or what would
have been the base of a box) and shrink wrap. So it is a lot harder to find
real boxes at retail stores.
Also USPS will deliver small boxes for free right to your door. Perfect
size
_Moreover, regular "moving boxes" from U-Haul or a moving company are of
uniform (and possibly modular) sizes, rather than a rag-tag assortment
of sizes and shapes that one might be able to scrounge from a store.
