Atlanta area moving service?
Question:
Does anyone have experience and/or recommendations regarding local moving companies? We're planning to move - a family with a house full of furniture - in the Lawrenceville / Suwanee area.
Answer:
_You may want to try http://www.servicelane.com
Fill out their little survey, then they pass your number out to
a few companies who call with quotes.
BTW, I'm not affiliated with them
_I do know to *avoid* "Buckhead Movers". I've known several people who have
used them, and things have always wound up damaged during the move. They
pay for damaged items "by the pound", so, if you have a $300 t.v. stand that
only weighs 25 lbs, you're likely going to get $40 for it, etc.
_Prepare to be cheated. But I had what I though was some fairly good
luck with North American Van Lines in Marietta. If you are crossing a
state line is when it get expensive.
_I recommend you visit this site when choosing a mover. It is the Georgia
Public Service Commission report card on licensed movers in GA.
