Moving Storage
Question:
I really want to move a storage shed about 80 feet to a better location. I know about using pipes to roll it on. But the shed has settled into a few inches of dirt. How can I raise it out of the dirt and get it up to put pipes under it? Any suggestions?
Answer:
Get a 10' 4x4 and slip it under the building at a point that can
carry the weight of the building. Place a 2x10 or other fulcrum in
the appropriate place under the 4x4 (as close to the building as you
can get it). Press down on the far end of the 4x4 and try not to
flip the building completely over. ;-)
Have blocks ready to place under the building for clearance.
Repeat around perimeter as necessary.
