Rented a moving truck once to bring up stuff from Seattle to Vancouver and the truck was rigged not to go any faster than 69 mph

Question:

Take me 14.5 hours b'cos of the stupid car. It shakes like Elvis once I go over 90km/h, and I file a complaint to the Rental already. Sorry no pic since my co driver is my big stuff monkey :$ Good thing all those people cxl their appointment with me. Otherwise, they would kill me because of the long drive. Anyway, it is a fun drive. You can have sunshine and HEAVY HEAVY rain in just few mins apart. Thanks for all the advice.

Answer:

We rented a moving truck once to bring up stuff from Seattle to Vancouver and the truck was rigged not to go any faster than 69 mph. Everytime my husband tried to go faster it just wouldn't. Really sucked on I5. Did you know that before you took the truck ? If not, that is super dangerous and the rental firm is risking big time liability.
For me, the car is kind of fine in city and is ok until I pass Buff. The car starts acting weird once I am in BC. I cannot drive over 90km. However, it is almost "undrivable" after I pass Kamloops. Something is wrong with the brakes and the alignment as well. It takes me five hours from kamloops to BCIT. All those big truckers act like megatron behind me or when they are passing me The rental firm is sort of safe unless you have an accident. Nevertheless, You need to proof that it is mechanical failure, and it is not your false. Few years ago, CBC did a story on UHAL, and they found out that their rental trucks did not pass the safety inspection. However, they all have some sort of USA licenses proving that the trucks are safe to drive. We found out when we got behind a turtle and I blocked the fast lane to let husband make the pass. And then found out that the truck didn't go above 69 mph. You are 100% right. At the time (about ten years ago) we didn't know any better. Now someone would be getting an earful. Sometimes that extra bit of speed is needed.
