Renting a small moving van
Question:
I need help to find renting a small moving van.Is the anybody know?
Answer:
As far as I can tell, there aren't any good experiences with moving
companies. Just varying degrees of bad experiences. One of my
co-workers had a local company take six weeks to get her stuff from
Charlotte to Durham.
I'd recommend you rent a truck and move her yourself. She can probably
convince her friends to help for the cost of a few pizzas and some
cold drinks.
-I've rented a trailer (not van) from the U-Haul dealer in Apex on two
occassions. On the most recent occasion, I turned it in a day earlier
than I had originally planned, and they instantly gave me a refund for the
extra day -- no problems at all.
The thing with U-Haul is that many types of companies operate a U-Haul
franchise, and some might have much better customer service than others.
The comapanies are often tire stores or equipment rental shops where
U-Haul is not their sole business. So I wouldn't judge the entire U-Haul
system based on a bad experience at one location. The U-Haul dealer in
Apex (Jones St. and Williams St.) is also an oldtimey hardware store and
mechanic, and the people there are as nice as can be. (As long as you
don't make fun of their southern accent!)
