Since they are franchised, you may have better luck with the attorney
general. Too many swear at Uhaul in this website, and some like them. It is all
on the local owner. If this is in NH, you may get some action from the
AttyGen. But in many states, it is just filed
In my experience, the same can sometimes apply to situations when
dealing with new car purchases. New car dealers are franchises. The,
manufacturer sometimes couldn't care less about the problems the
dealer causes.
A couple months ago I rented a trailer from uhaul and brought my own
sack of wire odds and ends, a male 7-way plug that I had laying
around, and bananna plugs. The u-haul operator insisted that I would
need some kind of converter, but I wasn't going to shell out my hard
earned money (a whopping $9) when I could roll my own. It took me
about 15 minutes to get it set up, but it did the job just fine!
